Housecalls! Light On Vet brings the vet to you. Enjoy a low stress visit by the vet in your home. You won't have to worry about your dog getting car sick or your cat getting super stressed about having to get into the scarey pet carrier any more. Dr. Busch will come to your house to examine and treat your pet (or barn to treat your horse) holistically.

Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine including acupuncture, moxibustion, and Chinese herbs. Acupuncture is a technique of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine that works to bring balance to an animal's energy dynamics (movement of Chi) to restore health. Moxibustion is the burning of a specific type of herb near acupuncture points in order to move and unblock stagnant Chi, thereby restoring an animal to good health. The veterinarians at Light On Vet utilize all of these techniques of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, giving you more options to find cures or treatments for what ails your pet. Acupuncture, moxibustion, and Chinese herbs can be used to treat such things as musculoskeletal diseases (arthritic pain, disc disease, tendon tears, sprains, or spasms), degenerative and endocrinologic diseases (such as kidney failure, liver disease, and diabetes), and even incontinence and other gastrointestinal or genito-urinary disorders.

Botanical Herbal Medicine including Chinese herbs, Ayurvedic herbs and Western herbs. All of these different types of herbs give the vets at Light On Vet more options when it comes to finding effective treatment plans for your animal's condition. Medicinal herbs are a type of food that can have profound physiologic effects on the health of animals, often without the serious side effects of prescription drugs.

Homeopathy. In applying the homeopathic concept that "like cures like," the vets at Light On Vet will utilize homeopathic remedies as indicated. The concept of homeopathy in its most simplistic form is that a disease can be cured by a substance that produces similar symptoms in healthy animals. In applying this theory behind homeopathy, the damaging substance is diluted or "potentiated" to have its beneficial effect. In effect, substances that can cause a set of symptoms in healthy animals are given to sick animals to cure them of those same symptoms, but in a very diluted form.
